The co-creative process
In 2023 I worked with lead academic and researcher Dr. Beth Stone to co-create a series of creative sharing sessions at Henrietta Street hostel. Residents shared their experiences of communal living, identifying barriers to safe, accessible, and enjoyable accommodation and thought about how spaces could be re-designed to meet different needs and preferences.
Communicating the research
In reflecting on the audio, artwork, interview transcripts and photographs that were generated, there was an emergent need to make these experiences and perspectives visible and accessible.
Platforming lived experiences
I approached Simon van Stipriaan to create a platform of visibility, in order to honour the lived experiences of the people involved.
Responsive practice
Together we created Housing Spectrums a site that profile co-creative and creative research alongside academic texts. Simon has developed a platform that is able to respond to new projects, experiences, bodies of research and insights, reflecting and profiling dynamic and responsive practice.
